Question: What kind of bear is best?

Animatable Self Design
I’ve been seeing this happen a lot lately, especially around finals, when we get so caught up in work, projects, art, our thoughts that we forget how to function. Sometimes it’s hard put away our to-do lists and have a conversation that doesn’t turn right back around to relay our lists out loud, it doesn’t count as an exchange between friends. Like, I don’t even know how to chat with my bros anymore because I’m too distracted by what still needs to get done! (Then again, we need our friends to help us through stressful times, sometimes you need a listening ear to blurt out what’s weighing you down.)
What’s worse, is any free time I get is spent with media impacting my senses: car rides always accompanied by [loud] music, meals by television, hanging out with friends means a movie night.
I’m kind of exaggerating, but then again this is all too true. So, I’ve decided to remedy this with choosing books over TV, and saving some time for quiet thinking rather than trapping myself in my head without allowing any thought.
Hi, I’m Jordan, I’ve got 2 days until Spring Break, my life’s not perfect, I’m human :)
My question for you, Tumblr, is how do you cope with this ^?
President Bird
An animation that 2 friends and I did in 24 hours (literally, it took 24 hours)
Here’s super talented Kaitlyn’s blog: http://kritterart.tumblr.com/
She was responsible for basically the whole idea and the voice acting.
Cassie animated the little boy
and I animated President Bird
Teenage Lulu, needs more sleep
So one of my professors claims that animation isn’t “Art” in the pure sense of the word because there are deadlines and client restrictions and multiple/conflicting artistic visions and Hollywood politics, etc. He believes it takes creativity, yes, but isn’t “art”.
Opinions?
